Ordering, Delivery & Returns

Ordering

  • Each item is individually handmade, at times with a lost-wax casting as my starting point, and therefore no two items are the same so that while I can replicate an item it will never be possible to duplicate every wrinkle or hammer mark. This also means that your order may take between two and four weeks to complete or perhaps longer if I need to source specific stones or findings to recreate the original. Do contact me if you need an item faster than this and I will do all I can to help meet your deadline.

  • If you are interested in ordering an item that is not available in the shop, please contact me via email, giving details of the website page, the name given to the design and the image number (e.g. 2 of 3, visible when you click on an image to see it in detail). I can then let you know the price and how long it will take to specially recreate it for you.

  • I photograph my work in daylight and consider that the photographs are an acceptable representation of the jewellery displayed on the website, however they cannot be guaranteed 100% accurate as this will vary depending on your individual computer's display settings. Each piece is subject to minor fluctuations in size, shape, colour and appearance. Sizes are given as a guide only. Patinating copper is an Art not a Science and colours cannot be guaranteed, only approximated. I will make all reasonable efforts to supply items similar to those displayed or already sold but no warranty is made as to the degree of similarity.

Ordering Disclaimer

  • The items displayed for sale represent the design described and may not be the exact item you will receive. Each item is individually handmade so that while I may be able to replicate an item it will never be possible to duplicate every wrinkle or hammer mark, and dimensions given are approximate as most items are individually pierced or sculpted. Items noted as having an Antiqued finish will be created with an aged appearance, suggesting wear and markings on the surface to suggest a much worn and loved treasure.

  • Orders may take between two and four weeks to complete or perhaps longer at busy times of year or if I need to source specific stones or findings to recreate the original. Do contact me if you need an item faster than the time indicated on the individual product page and I will let you know if I can meet your deadline.

Payments

  • I accept credit cards payments via Stripe and, in communication with me, via PayPal.

  • A confirmation of posting will be provided along with the Post Office tracking number.

  • Payment is required in pounds sterling and no VAT is charged.

  • I retain the right to vary prices without prior notice and would contact you as soon as possible so that you can confirm or cancel the order.

  • I do not hold any details of your card or bank account. Stripe and PayPal provide a secure payment system.

Delivery

UNITED KINGDOM

  • I aim to have your parcel delivered within 7 working days of ordering and usually send out Mondays and Fridays (sometimes more often if I can escape the workbench/office). I send out via Royal Mail Special Delivery service for a delivery during the working week. Please contact me if you need a Saturday delivery, which is at a higher postage cost. Special Delivery is a tracked, insured and signed for service and you are only charged at cost for the postage. UPDATE: In these times of Covid-19 these postal delivery times are no longer guaranteed for 1pm.

  • As this service requires a signature on receipt please ensure you or a designated recipient will be available to receive the parcel and feel free to contact me if you would wish to discuss this. I may contact you to confirm that someone will be in to receive the parcel and if you require a Saturday delivery please select the Saturday service at the Checkout.

  • PLEASE NOTE : If an item is not received but tracked as being delivered (this frequently happens when items are delivered to places of work) your item might have been delivered to a post room or colleague within your company and someone else will have signed for it.

INTERNATIONAL

Sadly, posting jewellery to many countries is proving difficult, if not impossible, and while the EU used to be open to me as a market the insane Brexit decision has complicated those borders too. If you wish to have an item posted abroad contact me via the Contact page and we can start a conversation about what this might entail. Just a warning that my website postage prices will not include any additional taxes or charges that your home government may place on imported goods and these will then have to be paid by yourself before you will receive the parcel. I am unable to predict what the additional cost may be nor accurate delivery dates. Again, as in the UK, all postage services used will be of the ‘tracked and signed for’ variety. International parcels over the value of £250 may require additional insurance fees, if possible at all to certain countries.

Returns

  • Within 14 days of receipt of Goods ordered via the internet for delivery to a UK address you may return the item(s) for any reason, with the exclusion of earrings for reasons of hygiene. You must take reasonable care of Goods in your possession as I will not exchange or refund Goods that show obvious signs of rough handling or damage, where tags are broken or removed, or do not have their original packaging in a saleable condition. In this instance, the goods will be returned to the buyer at their own cost. Returns are not accepted for non-UK sales, unless faulty.

  • To arrange the return of an item please email me to request a returns number, quoting your name and address, details of the product and the reason for the return. Returns will not be accepted without a returns number.

  • Your original postage costs will NOT be refunded unless the item you received was sent in error or has been identified as faulty or damaged (provided I am notified within 7 days of receipt). Once a return is approved the goods must be returned within 28 days of you receiving them and you will be refunded within 14 days of my receipt of the returned Goods.

  • The jewellery remains your responsibility until it reaches me so I recommend that you send the parcel using a trackable service such as the Post Office’s Signed For (not insured) or Special Delivery (insured) services. I cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost in transit.
