A verdigris copper brooch with a soft, water-worn surface and gently mottled green and brown verdigris patina that matured over several weeks before being fixed with a wax finish. The heavily textured copper form is held in a sterling silver claw setting that supports a secure sprung steel double pin fastening.

The hand applied surface texture is based on the Echinoderm collection at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter and is unique to each brooch in this series.
