My Masters Exhibition

From this distance (April) the dates and times are still provisional but I will have work displayed and will be looking mightily relieved. It would be lovely to see folk and be able to finally show off the results of two years experimenting and exploring materials and forms.

My work explores the deeply held emotions that link us to the landscape, with small precious items linking us to home.

The exhibition is taking place across several sites at the AUP campus and I will add the details as they are published, so do keep dropping by.

My favourite show

Christmas means Wonderworks - a beautifully curated event in the Jubilee Hall in Chagford, nestling in the hills on Dartmoor. Discerning gifts for special people.

The organisers take time to select artists who use a wide range of skills, styles and materials in order to offer one of the best Christmas shopping events in the South West.

The Jubilee Hall is always buzzing as the locals know when they are on to a good thing. There is always good food on offer to ensure you will enjoy shopping locally for gifts.

Open 10-5 each day. Free Entry. Parking available beside the Hall.

Five artists exploring nature

This will be the first outing for the designs I am developing during my MA studies at Arts University Plymouth, working primarily in ceramic and glass alongside the metals that have predominated my designs to date.

My work explores the deeply held emotions that link us to the landscape, with small precious items linking us to home.

I am exhibiting my work alongside that of painter Kerry Johnstone, textile artist Chloe Morter, studio ceramicist Helen Challinor and sculptor Matt Calder.

The four of us had a great time during the September Open Studios and many of our visitors wanted to return to buy gifts for Christmas - and we are happy to oblige.

Wonderworks really is my most favourite show as the buzz is infectious and I get to chat to regular and new customers as they hunt down the perfect gifts for their discerning family and friends. As ever, there is a chance to grab a drink and delicious something to eat while catching up with friends. The stalls are chosen to provide as wide a range of crafts, styles and prices so there really is something for everyone.

Craft Festival - Cheltenham - Winter 2023

 

!’m so excited to take part in this gold-standard show with 100 exhibitors from across the range of skills and materials that make up the contemporary craft world in the UK.

I am busy working to create a bold range of work and would love to see you to show off my latest designs. Shopping for jewellery on-line is well and good but nothing beats being able to see work up close and personal. If there is a particular design you are hoping to see do let me know soon and I will try to ensure it will be available on my stand.

An Opportunity to find beautiful art and crafts in rural east devon

Selected fine art and crafts available from four local artists - textiles, ceramics, jewellery and paintings

The venue is an elegant drawing room at Longmeadows Lodge, Old Feniton, that is a few minutes from the A30 near Ottery St.Mary.

Open Studios is a great way to discover new art and artists in Devon and a comprehensive illustrated brochure is available free from local libraries, most Tourist Information Centres and many galleries. Further information is available from the Devon Artist Network website (see View Details below)

Open 19-11, 14-18, and 21-24 September (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays) 10am to 5pm

The postcode will get you into the centre of Old Feniton where you can park. Find a triangle of grass with a bench. Walk uphill for a few metres and then turn right into a private driveway with white gateposts signposting four homes. The venue will be straight ahead - plenty of Open Studios yellow signs to direct you.
