A dramatic copper brooch designed to stand out from the crowd with a soft, water-worn surface and mottled green verdigris patina that took many weeks to mature. The heavily textured copper form is held in a sterling silver claw setting that supports a secure sprung steel double pin fastening.
The hand applied surface texture is based on the Echinoderm collection at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter. The surface texture and patina of every brooch in this series is unique.
Copper, sterling silver, sprung surgical stainless steel. Verdigris patina with waxed microcrystalline finish.
